For the second time in three years, Hay Tire Pros has been named a Top Shop Finalist by Tire Review magazine, an industry trade publication.
In 1981 Henry Hay founded his company on three core values: integrity, truth and hard work. David Hay, Henry’s son and current company president, describes the company’s customer service philosophy by stating, “We believe that if you take care of a customer the first and every time, they and their family and friends will keep returning.” Along with superior customer service, the owners believe strongly in community involvement. David emphasizes the importance of locally-owned businesses to the community and its economy.
Now in its fifth year, the Tire Review “Top Shop” award, sponsored by AMMCO*Coats/Hennessy Industries, honors the “best of the best” independent tire dealers in the United States and Canada. Judges selected 20 semi-finalists from nearly 100 entrants. An independent panel of judges then scored the semi-finalists on business size, sales, marketing, merchandising, customer service, training, achievement, and community activity.
Hay Tire Company is a family-owned full-service automotive shop and tire dealership with over 30 employees in two Charleston and Mount Pleasant locations. The company joined the Tire Pros network of independent tire dealers in 2010 to improve operational efficiencies, aid in marketing and offer a broader line of products and services.
