Ben Davis is a senior at
the College of Charleston
studying Political Science.
He has lived in Charleston
for the past five years and
will always consider the
Holy City his home. After
graduating, he plans to em-
brace his love for travel and
writing by working for a travel magazine or news
agency and exploring every corner of the world.
Patrice Smith is a
retired radio and tele-
vision journalist who
worked in the Charleston
market for more than
three decades. Still a
journalist at heart, she
now pens words to paper
as a freelance writer and is
immersed in Lowcountry
history. Patrice is also a motivational speaker
who tries to uplift her varied audiences. She loves
reading, traveling and visiting all of Charleston’s
beaches.
