VOICE forMP. com contributors Having taught high school English for 14 years, Alyssa DiSalvo has always enjoyed putting pen to paper and expressing herself in the written word. She was married on Kiawah Island and moved to Mount Pleasant in 2011, where she fell in love with Lowcountry life and is now honored to learn about and write about its community. Her other passions include building memories with her two daughters and husband, as well as growing her faith. She also takes joy in her other vocation, helping families as their travel planner, and particularly specializes in Disney vacations. Isabel Alvarez Arata is a freelance writer and copywriter with a focus on business, marketing and lifestyle. Her passion lies in sharing her knowledge of pets, pet care and pet-friendly living. She contributes to various online and print outlets, including Mount Pleasant Magazine and her pet- related web and radio show, “Covered in Pet Hair.” A native of Lexington, South Carolina, Fay M. Boudet lived in Nevada for seven years before moving to the Lowcountry in 2018. Her background is in grants management, writing and working with nonprofits, and she has been freelance writing since 2020. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, dog-walking and all things Jurassic Park. She lives with her family in Goose Creek. In 2013, Janet E. Perrigo fled a lifetime of long, dark Northern winters for South Carolina’s warmth and sunshine. She and her husband Bob currently reside in Wagener, South Carolina with “Wagner,” their handsome husky rescue dog. In addition to freelance writing, she’s passionate about her work as director of Christ Central Institute, a ministry dedicated to helping those who cannot help themselves.
