Charleston ChoColate Festival

More than 100 purveyors will join together to celebrate

all things beautiful. The event will feature: chocolate

tastings, a fine arts exhibit, painting demonstrations,

wine, cheese and chocolate pairings, specialty food

sampling, artisan gifts, a children’s tent, a food and

drink court, music and entertainment. A portion of the

proceeds will support The Citadel Fine Arts Program.

many artists will be in attendance. Refreshments

will be served, and this event is free. Start at any gal-

29th Annual Children’s Day Festival

When: Oct. 16, 2016

Time: Noon to 5 p.m.

Where: Park West Recreation Complex

Old and new traditions delight at the 29th

Annual Town of Mount Pleasant Children’s

Day Festival, presented by Publix. East

Cooper schools will host carnival games, and

families will enjoy carnival rides, enormous

inflatable slides, live entertainment, wall

climbing, face painting and many other activi-

ties. Admission and all activities are free. Free

parking is available at Cario Middle School

and Charles Pinckney/Laurel Hill. The shuttle

will run all day, or simply use the cut-through

and enjoy a nice short walk. East Cooper

Schools will raise funds by selling food at

concession stands.
