T

he success Pleasant Family

Dentistry has experienced since its

opening in 1989 just keeps adding up.

For instance, the practice once again

has been voted as Best Dentist by the

readers of

Mount Pleasant Magazine.

To be at the top when there are so

many options from which to

choose

comes

down to a few simple ideas

that Pleasant Family Dentistry

does well: state-of-the-art

technology and a knack for

knowing how to maximize

the practice’s full potential.

However, what really sets them

apart, they said, is a no-brainer:

Put the patient first – always.

“We are constantly

looking for ways to grow in

order to improve the patient

experience,” said Dr. Rick

Jackowski.

This past year, the team

at Pleasant Family Dentistry

has grown with the hiring of

another associate, Dr. Lauren

Callison.

“Dr. Callison has been a

wonderful addition to the

team. Her patients love her

compassionate personality

and passion for her work. She fits perfectly with our PFD

family,” said Dr. Greg Johnson.

“I could not be happier with my decision to join Pleasant

Family Dentistry. Our patients are fantastic, and the team

has welcomed me with open arms,” said Dr. Callison.

In addition to expanding its team, Pleasant Family

Dentistry also has expanded its hours to better serve its

patients. Because they now stay open until 7 p.m. during

the week and until 5 p.m. on Saturday, patients can

schedule an appointment when it is most convenient for

them rather than waiting for a time that suits the dentist.

“We want to be open when our patients need us, and we

don’t want them to have to further complicate their schedule

to get here,” said Dr. Jackowski.

In addition, Pleasant Family Dentistry is now offering IV

sedation so patients are unconscious for their procedures. This

is especially appealing for those

who are nervous or just want

to complete complicated or

lengthy procedures in one visit,.

“I am thrilled to be able to

offer our patients the option

of IV sedation,” explained

Dr. Rob Carimi. “We are

now better able to serve our

patients who have anxiety or

busy schedules. It has allowed

many people to complete

treatment in one visit that

would previously take two or

three visits.”

The future looks promising

for Pleasant Family Dentistry,

which will be breaking

ground in 2016 on a building

expansion, adding six new

operatories, including two

surgical suites, and a call

center. These improvements are

aimed at enhacing the patient

experience.

Pleasant Family Dentistry

offers a multitude of services, including same-day CEREC

crowns, implants and teeth whitening.
