Tops for Raising aToast

Bottles Beverage Superstore

B

ottles Beverage superstore

was voted as the best liquor store by the

readers of

Mount Pleasant Magazine,

which is no small feat. Liquor stores

dot the landscape no matter where you

travel, and yet the people of Mount

Pleasant flock to Bottles.

“When we began creating the concept of Bottles in 2010,

the owners agreed to never try and fool a customer. Instead,

we wanted to offer the best products and prices,” explained

George McLaughlin, owner and

managing member of Bottles. “We

find the most esoteric

products that you can’t

find anywhere else

and offer them at an

affordable price.”

From a large

selection of wine to

local craft beers and

many types of spirits,

Bottles utilizes its

15,000-square-foot

location to cater to all

customers.

The employees are

educated in all of the

products that line the

shelves so that each

customer can have a

personal experience.

“If you are a first-time customer, always start at the

front of the store, meet one of our awesome associates and

they will walk you through the entire store. Let us know

what you like because we love helping you to find it,”

said McLaughlin. “Bottles is a fun, unique place and not

intimidating for our customers.”

Bottles gives customers the freedom to make their own

choice, and the people of Mount Pleasant appreciate it.

So whether you are seeking professional advice on

quantities and selections for a party or just looking for a

gift, Bottles’ expert staff, on-site ownership and one-stop

shopping convenience makes it the one place to fulfill all

your beverage needs.

“All of the owners are from the hospitality industry, not

the retail industry, and that sets us apart,” said McLaughlin.

Further, Bottles provides service to more than 80

restaurants in the Lowcountry, six days a week. And, as one

of the largest liquor buyers in town, Bottles is able to pass

along its savings.

If you are interested in purchasing wine, beer or spirits at

a single location, McLaughlin recommends staying on the

east side of the Cooper River.

“Prior to opening Bottles, we were tired of crossing the

river and getting

the bait and switch.

We wanted to make

sure our customers

received what they

wanted,” he said.

Bottles in

Mount Pleasant

has been so

successful that, in

2015, a second

location opened

in Columbia,

South Carolina.

For the owners,

their mission is

the same: to treat

every customer with

respect and to share their knowledge.

“We very much appreciate the people of Mount

Pleasant for believing in us and supporting our business.

We still learn from our customers every day, so it is a

great two-way street,” said McLaughlin. “We are thankful

for all the support we have received, and the future for

Bottles looks great.”

Events at Bottles include weekly wine and spirit tastings

as well as Tap Takeover, all with complimentary tastings.
