of Encore Interiors, is changing the
living spaces of clients one boldly-colored throw pillow at
a time, and, with a longtime love of design, this innovator
shows no sign of
slowing down.
“I want visitors to

doors and have an
instant rapport with
the items they see,”
said Nicoll. “I want
them to be able to
envision themselves
in those spaces that
resonate with them.”
Since taking over the space in April 2015, Nicoll has
transformed the 14,000-square-foot shop into a delightful
feast for the eyes. A cornucopia of historical remnants and
modern-day gems grace the nooks and crannies of this
winding wonderland for those that revel in fantastic findings.
The daughter of a Realtor mom and construction-
industry dad, Nicoll claims her destiny with “all things
home” was an obvious one. Innately drawn to the way
textures and colors intertwine to create a mood, she
approaches each work day with the same enthusiasm she
had when she started out in interior design.
“Even as a child, I would set the Barbie home up and
marvel at the way everything complemented each other,”
said Nicoll, who once was a sought-after stager enlisted by
Realtors to make houses sell in record time. “There are no
rules when it comes to design.”
Whether you’re searching for that authentic Moroccan
rug to drape over your hardwood or you are in need of
a framed oil painting to adorn the hallway wall, Encore
Interiors has got you covered. A treasure-seeker with an
impeccable knack for pairing the unusual with grace and
style, Nicoll houses an array of one-of-a-kind pieces sure to

“I love to be able to continuously surprise people,” said
Nicoll. “Whether that’s with a truly unique piece that they
wouldn’t normally go for or with an incredible deal on
something they never dreamed they could afford.”
From handcrafted Korean furniture to an ancient
rug that was once touched by the soles of British royalty,

in this antiquer’s

“It’s extremely rewarding to provide young working
professionals with pieces that they couldn’t find
elsewhere,” said Nicoll. “We truly have something for
everyone. From the very funky to midcentury modern,
you’ll find such a variety here.”
Nicoll also finds a great sense of pride in running a green
business that focuses on reusing products rather than mass-
producing new ones.
“I love the stories each piece tells,” said Nicoll, admiring
two crimson repurposed doors that once adorned a New
York City brownstone. “Our homes become sanctuaries,
and it’s great to be able to provide people with pieces that
add real depth to their homes.”
