You probably didn’t know this, but when you eat at SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar, $1 from the sale of featured menu items and cocktails is donated to charities right here in our community. In all, SOL has given approximately $70,000 to more than 30 local nonprofits through its Kitchen Karma program.
“It’s an honor to work with many wonderful groups that make such a difference in our community,” said David Clark, one of the three owners of SOL. “All three of us live in Mount Pleasant, and we’re proud that 100 percent of the money we donate stays local. Giving back to local organizations was important to us from the beginning.”
Since the first SOL opened in Mount Pleasant in 2013, the restaurant group has donated thousands of dollars to organizations such as the Charleston Animal Society, Wings for Kids, Hollings Cancer Center, My Sister’s House and East Cooper Community Outreach.
SOL, with locations in Mount Pleasant, Charleston and Summerville, features bold Southwest flavors, “just juiced” cocktails and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The restaurant was voted one of the Best Taco spots by the readers of Mount Pleasant Magazine. Visit SOL, choose a dish designated “Kitchen Karma” and help pay it forward to make our community even better.
