Verità won the Best Of Mount Pleasant 2021 award for Best Bridal Store, which is the second year in a row. This should come as no surprise if you have ever had a signature Verità experience. When owner Jessica Kiss spoke of her original vision for Verità, the passion in her voice for what she does rang true.
Originally from Bel Air, Maryland, Kiss worked for several years in the bridal industry, before deciding that Charleston was the perfect destination to take the next step in her career. She made her move to Charleston seven years ago and opened Verità Bridal Boutique in October 2017.
Since then, she has provided blushing brides with an elegant dress shopping experience at her location on West Coleman Boulevard. Verità’s gowns are original to the store and are as eclectic as couture. Kiss’ personal favorite designer is Calla Blanche, due to the “very intricate design, lace and beading.” Verità has one of the largest selections in the Charleston area, which means that they have “something for any bride,” according to Kiss. She and her team work with each bride to find the perfect gown that fits both her style and budget.
Like so many industries, the bridal industry has been deeply affected by Covid-19. Brides visiting Verità can rest assured that the store has adopted precautions that put the safety of their clients first, from wearing masks to enforcing a three-person guest limit during appointments.
