Kansas: Another Fork in the Road: 50th Anniversary Tour

Charleston Half Marathon & 5k

The 14th annual Charleston Half Marathon takes runners on a beautiful course through the Holy City and its impressive historic and scenic landmarks. Post-race party at The Joe with music, food and beer.
Fairy House Festival
When: 1/20 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: Palmetto Islands County Park
Kids of all ages are invited to join in for the greatest, tiniest building project ever! Fairy houses are made from non-living, natural items such as twigs and leaves, and the fairies of Palmetto Islands County Park once again need your help to build their abodes.
Jim Breuer “Survival with Laughter” Tour

Comedian and “Saturday Night Live” alum Jim Breuer brings his “Survival with Laughter” Tour to the PAC.

Save the Light Half Marathon & 5k Run/Walk
When: 2/3 at 8 a.m.
Where: Folly Beach Pier
A half marathon and 5k to support the preservation of the Morris Island Lighthouse by Save The Light, a grassroots nonprofit organization that formed in 2000 to save the Morris Island Lighthouse from being lost to the sea. Both races are USATF-certified and start and finish near the Folly Beach Pier. Half marathon is a run only event.
Lowcountry Oyster Festival
When: 2/4
Where: Boone Hall Plantation
The Lowcountry Oyster Festival is the world’s largest oyster festival, featuring live music on the main stage, raw oyster eating and shucking contests, wine, a wide beer selection, specialty cocktails, a children’s area and a “food court” showcasing a variety of local favorite restaurants. Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes
When: 2/7 at 8 p.m.
Where: Charleston Music Hall
Nicolas Reyes has been the leader and co-founder of the Gipsy Kings for well over 30 years. In the past three decades, they have dominated the World Music charts and sold more than 14 million albums worldwide. Their ninth studio album, “Savor Flamenco,” won the Grammy for Best World Music Album in 2013.
Pup Bowl VII
When: The Oaks at Mount Pleasant Town Centre
Where: 2/10 from noon-3 p.m.
Don’t miss the most fur-ocious floofball game of the year! Pup Bowl VII is a pet adoption and family-fun day to benefit Charleston Animal Society. Find your fur-ever friend or simply enjoy the cutest game of floofball you’ve ever seen! The event will also feature fundraising for CAS, live entertainment, activities, food and drinks and more. Tickets are $10 per person, children under 12 are free. A hundred percent of all ticket entry fees will be donated to CAS.

Winter Charleston Wedding Festival

The Wedding Festival will have bride festival attractions including tons of prizes, giveaways, gift cards, wedding bands, large displays of mock wedding and reception displays, wedding workshops, trends and ideas.
Sunset Moonrise Canoe Tour
When: 2/23 from 3:30-6 p.m.
Where: Caw Caw Interpretive Center
Witness the sun as it slips below the tall trees of Caw Caw Swamp and watch the moonrise over Tea Farm Creek while you paddle alongside trained naturalists. Opportunities abound to view wildlife that will be settling in for the night or just waking up. Ages 9 and up. A registered and paid chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under. 4th Annual Sweetgrass Half Marathon
