ArtFest 2024

This annual festival brings families and cultural enthusiasts together with budding and professional artists for an event that showcases a diverse array of local and regional artistic talent. Local music, dance and visual arts studios offer stunning performances by some of the area’s most talented individuals and groups. Stroll the Art Walk, featuring the incredible creations of local artists. All activities and performances are free of charge. Food and snacks will be available for purchase.
Cheers on the Pier

WHERE: Mount Pleasant Pier at Memorial Waterfront Park
Wrap up your workday on the Mount Pleasant Pier with live music, craft beer, good friends and a gorgeous sunset. No admission fee. Blankets and chairs are welcome, as seating is limited.
Charleston Bluegrass Festival

WHERE: Woodlands Nature Reserve, Charleston
The Charleston Bluegrass Festival takes place on the pristine 6,000-acre grounds of the Woodlands Nature Reserve in Charleston. Patrons can expect a weekend of revelry complete with some of the finest names in bluegrass. The event offers plush camping options, local food/craft vendors and outdoor activities.
Summerville Flowertown Festival

On a three-day weekend in the spring, thousands of festival-goers transcend upon Summerville to take in the flowers and hospitality and attend one of the largest crafts festivals in the Southeast.
Credit One Charleston Open
WHEN: March 30-April 7
WHERE: Credit One Stadium, Daniel Island
Credit One Charleston Open, the largest women’s-only tennis tournament in North America, will celebrate its 52nd event this year. The tournament traditionally welcomes more than 90,000 spectators each year and features a singles draw of 48 players, a qualifying draw of 24 players and a doubles draw of 16 players. This year’s event showcases some of the top-ranked professional players on the WTA tour including Ons Jabeur, Jessica Pegula and Maria Sakkari.

Mount Pleasant Farmers Market Opening Day
WHEN: April 2 3:30-7 p.m.
WHERE: Moultrie Middle School
Mark your calendars for the opening of the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market. The weekly market, founded in 1998, features vendors selling local farm-fresh produce, meats, sauces, baked goods and other specialty foods, as well as prepared food vendors for those looking for a unique meal. Admission is free and there is plenty of parking available.
Lowcountry Strawberry Festival

The Lowcountry Strawberry Festival includes two big weekends filled with entertainment, activities, rides and food, and fields full of fresh, ripe strawberries! Cooper River Bridge Run
WHEN: April 6 at 8 a.m.
WHERE: Race start on Coleman Boulevard
This world class 10k race aims to increase interest in cardiovascular exercise in the community, raise funds for public education on the importance of exercise and generate a spirit of community involvement and volunteerism. The finish line will feature a Finish Festival with entertainment, vendors, food, souvenirs and refreshments.
Charleston County Parks Foundation Golf Tournament
WHEN: April 8 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
WHERE: Charleston National Golf Club
Don’t miss out on a round of golf, a delicious lunch, door prizes, a cocktail reception and a whole lot of fun while supporting a great cause — the Charleston County Parks Foundation. This shotgun start, captains-choice tournament will be held at Charleston National Golf Club, a Rees Jones-designed championship golf course that has been rated by Golf Digest as the best non-resort golf course in the Charleston area. $135 per person or $500 per team of four.

Charleston Race Week at Patriots Point

Charleston Race Week returns for its 28th installment, with 2024 marking the first year of the regatta’s new permanent partnership with Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. Race headquarters will be anchored in a central location on Charleston Harbor in Mount Pleasant and will feature more than 200,000 square feet of race viewing, event and sponsor exhibition space.
High Water Festival
WHEN: April 20-21
WHERE: Riverfront Park
The two-day music festival returns to Riverfront Park, featuring acts such as Noah Kahan, Hozier, Flaming Lips, Fleet Foxes and many more. Charleston’s own Shovels & Rope curates the music for the event and plays their own set as well. With two alternating stages, you’ll be able to catch all your favorite bands and discover new ones too!
Walk for Autism
WHEN: April 27 from 9 a.m.-noon
WHERE: Hampton Park
Walk for Autism-Charleston is a family-friendly walk through historic Hampton Park, with refreshments, live music, jump castles, silent auction, autism merchandise, haircuts by Great Clips and therapy dogs. Sponsors will be there with information about autism and activities for the entire family. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. Come join them to learn more about autism and help the growing number of children challenged by the disorder.
Blessing of the Fleet

The festival pays tribute to Mount Pleasant’s local shrimping and fishing industry, offering a boat parade, live music, craft show and lots of free activities with the picturesque Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor serving as the backdrop!
