Beautiful Homes of Coastal Carolina

Beautiful Homes of Coastal Carolina photograph
Over the past four decades, Mount Pleasant Magazine has published local real estate data, information that can be used in making decisions on a specific neighborhood, home or in some cases, both.

Our community loves reading our Beautiful Homes edition. We hope the real estate data we provide you with will help guide you in finding that perfect home; the one that fits the lifestyle you seek in that special Mount Pleasant neighborhood. Our publishing team enjoys this mission of further assisting you in your home search.

The following includes a sampling of local agents and Top Ten Homes, beginning with Layne McCombs Kipp of Dunes Properties. Additionally, the Old Village home by Laurie Minges, also of Dunes Properties. The Top Ten I’On home sold is featured on our front cover, presented below by Katherine Cox + Co. You will also find the Hamlin Plantation home presented by Lauren Zurilla with the Boulevard Company. The Dunes West home was presented by Stephanie Burr of Akers Ellis.

Wild Dunes: A Permanent Vacation

Custom accents throughout the home truly elevate the space, offering a lovely palette for homeowners to express themselves with complementary interior decor.

The first floor’s master bedroom has an attached screened-in porch and an oversized bathroom with custom riad handmade tile as well as a custom-built closet. This unique home perfectly blends modern, upscale design with relaxed, island-inspired details that bring a hint of the outdoors in. A saltwater pool with a heated spa invites luxurious relaxation right in your own backyard, surrounded by palm trees.

The Wild Dunes community offers nothing but the best in the way of amenities, including a boat ramp, clubhouse, dock facilities, fitness center, golf course, marina and trails perfect for going for a jog. Living here offers a slice of paradise with all the comforts of home.

Old Village: Nestled in Nature’s Beauty

BEAUTIFUL HOME in Old Village. Listing Agent: Laura MingesThe epitome of Southern living, this historic home at 204 Pitt St. in Old Village has it all. Sitting proudly on nearly an acre of land, beautiful porches wrap around this stately home, providing shade and an invitation to sit for a spell and enjoy the azaleas, camellias and live oaks adorning the grounds.

Inside the home, a large center hall spans from front to back with a spacious living area, dining room, study and kitchen flanking the hall. There is an oversized family room add-on featuring a fireplace and mahogany French doors to the terrace. The kitchen, fully-equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, large mudroom, master bedroom and half bath, completes the first floor of the home.

Upstairs, three additional bedrooms and two full baths offer plenty of space for family members and guests to lodge comfortably. A cottage behind the house makes the perfect office space or hangout for teens. The main house and outbuildings all have standing seam metal roofs, and the two-car garage also houses a workshop. Best of all, residents can step outside their door to the most charming walkable village, filled with history and natural beauty.
