Sail, Sip, Socialize. Daniel Island Yacht Club

Daniel Island Yacht Club: Gorgeous exterior views to add to your big day.
Gorgeous exterior views to add to your big day.

The Daniel Island Yacht Club opened its doors to the public in January and since then has quickly become one of Charleston’s most sought-after event venues. Tucked away on the Wando River, the Yacht Club offers a blend of Southern hospitality and nautical tradition that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. It evokes an air of timeless elegance and combines colonial charm with the old-age aesthetic of a classic Northeast yacht club. The venue features stunning waterfront views, top-tier facilities and an unmatched design.

Stunning views of the waterfront.

The clubhouse, with its gleaming wood accents and crisp, nautical colors, serves as the perfect backdrop for any event. Rehearsal dinners, welcome parties or even grand receptions are the perfect events for this space’s thoughtful layout and stunning details. It’s no wonder that it has become a go-to location for Charleston couples and event planners. The design mimics that of Northeast sailing communities and includes elements resembling the timelessness and elegance found in Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard.

Their private dock adds a unique entrance and exit to the experience and allows guests to arrive by boat straight from downtown Charleston. Elevating an ordinary event into something extraordinary is the name of the game and it makes every event feel special. Guests can soak up the scenic views of the Wando River from the veranda or the picturesque porch on the second floor.

The venue offers maximum flexibility with two separate floors available for rental. A cozy bar area and a waterfront veranda are all located on the first floor. Imagine guests mingling, sipping cocktails and enjoying the cool river breeze during your event. The large but intimate main dining room is located on the second floor and has windows that fill the space with natural light and frame its natural beauty. The second floor also has its own bar and a private porch, which gives guests the chance to step outside and take in the Wando River views.

The flexibility extends to the event spaces as well, with a variety of options for couples when it comes to renting. They can rent just the first or second floor exclusively, or you can reserve the entire space, which accommodates up to 200 guests. Whether hosting an extravagant reception or a small, intimate dinner, the Yacht Club allows the kind of customizable space that makes every host’s vision come to life.

The bar and menu packages at the Yacht Club can be tailored to meet any preferences of the hosts. Full customization makes selecting this venue for your event an easy choice. From signature cocktails to a carefully curated menu, the team is committed to creating a dining experience that matches the awe-inspiring surroundings.

The Daniel Island Yacht Club not only provides a place for special occasions but also brings the spirit of the Northeast sailing community to Charleston. Still accepting bookings for 2025 and even into 2026, it’s clear that this elegant venue is set to be a staple for years to come, offering both locals and visitors a chance to celebrate with an old-world style, while experiencing unmatched views.
