Dry January doesn’t have to be a dull puritan reality. The fun can spill over into the new year and beyond, thanks to Tony Moneta, a bartender at Frank’s on Pawleys Island, who shared the following creative, fresh and deliciously healthy mocktail recipes. Here’s a list of a few of his tasty concoctions:
Lemon Cherry Spritz
- Blend 2 ounces fresh Meyer lemonade with
- 1 ounce of black cherry juice
- Serve over ice with a splash of club soda in a wine glass. Garnish with a lemon.
Pineapple Ginger Punch
- Blend .05 ounce of ginger extract
- 1.5 ounces of pineapple juice
- .05-ounce fresh lime juice
- Serve over ice with a splash of club soda in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a lime.
Mock Mule
- 1 ounce ginger extract
- .05-ounce fresh lime juice
- Serve over ice with a topper of Sprite in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a lime.
Coconut Bay Breeze
- 1 ounce coconut puree
- 2 ounces pineapple juice
- 2 ounces cranberry juice
- Serve over ice in a Moscow mule copper mug. Garnish with a lime.
- As an alternative to a mocktail, enjoy an elegant non-alcoholic champagne with French Bloom’s organic bubbly. The Le Blanc Chardonnay wine hints of pear, white flowers and spicy citrus, while the well-balanced yet complex Pinot Noir-based rose bursts with aromas of rose petals, freshly-picked red fruits and dry white peach.
Additionally, French Bloom’s La Cuvée 2022 Blanc de Blancs reveals a great complexity and character when tasted, like a fine wine full of singularity. Le Magnum, a sophisticated 1.5-liter format equivalent to two bottles, fosters a more harmonious development of aromas, often resulting in greater complexity and more expressive wines. Whether enjoying these mocktails or bubbles, cheers to an effervescent 2025!
