Mount Pleasant’s continuous growth and expansion in population and development has in turn provided us with new places to visit and enjoy. Here are some of the latest spots that are now open and ready for you to experience in your area.
Catrina’s Tacos & Tequila
Clements Ferry Road is booming with new apartment buildings, medical campuses, restaurants and retail. The latest development, Point Hope, houses a Publix, schools and a new Mexican restaurant called Catrina’s Tacos & Tequila. Catrina’s décor and fare celebrate the rich traditions of Mexican culture and cuisine. Their personable staff embody Mexican hospitality’s true heart and soul. Adorning one of their walls is the iconic skeletal face La Calavera Catrina, breathtaking Mexican folk art and a prominent symbol of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

The Archive
From Clements Ferry Road to I’On, The Archive, which opened on April 12, offers a haven for book lovers and coffee and wine enthusiasts. “We are truly excited to be open. The outpouring of community support is thrilling,” explained Amanda Badeau, owner of The Archive. Badeau has always dreamed of opening a bookstore, an aspiration she has had since childhood. Recognizing a niche in the market and inspired by the allure of dark academia, Badeau’s shop combines books, coffee and wine. The décor is modern, showcasing dark green tones.

Abbracci Italian Cuisine & Cocktails
Further up Highway 17 across from the Market at Oakland is Abbracci Italian Cuisine & Cocktails. Don and Joanne Migliori created Abbracci to reflect their deep-rooted Italian-American heritage. If the Migliori name sounds familiar, it should. They have years of experience in the Charleston culinary scene.
