Jeff’s Bagel Run
Everyone loves a great bagel, and when Danielle Perera moved to South Florida from New York with her husband Jeff, she couldn’t find one that reminded her of home. She decided to do something about it, and Jeff’s Bagel Run was born. When Jeff lost his job during COVID-19, he used the spare time to start baking bagels with a recipe that felt like home. Danielle served as taste tester. By 2021, their first store opened in Orlando, and now Charleston is getting a taste with locations in Daniel Island, Isle of Palms, Mount Pleasant, West Ashley and James Island.
The Mount Pleasant location at 1710 Shoremeade Road, which is slated to open in June, brings an authentic New York-style bagel to the Lowcountry. In true New York fashion, they are baked fresh throughout the day and always boiled and never toasted.
Sixteen staple flavors are available every day with a rotating “bagel of the day.” The open window concept lets you see the 17 house-made cream cheeses and butters up close. Order ahead on the app for a dozen hot-from-the-oven bagels, perfectly timed to your pickup.

Crafthouse North
Crafthouse North is the newest neighborhood hangout, bringing local flavor and fun to an area that’s been underserved. Even though it has only been open a little over a month, the space already feels like home to North Mount Pleasant residents looking for a laid-back spot to gather.
Local kitchen partners Max Sushi offers fresh sushi, and the bar also serves a few food items if sushi isn’t your style. The pub grub includes Bavarian pretzels, chips and dips, a pretzel dog and a classic cheeseburger. Crafthouse North features house-made cocktails, frozen drinks, wine and a variety of craft and local beers.
