Gary and Jennifer Lawrence
The Lawrence family is one of faith. They’ve taken a lot of leaps, from Gary accepting a job with frequent travel, to cross-country moves, to Jennifer opening a business two months before the pandemic. These owners of SweetFrog Frozen Yogurt and parents of three children believe that success starts with leaning on God, family and community.
The Lawrences believe in teamwork, whether they’re partnering with family, neighbors or fellow churchgoers. Jennifer Lawrence relied on her in-laws for school pick-ups while getting the business going. Then she put her faith in the people of Mount Pleasant to support her business during one of the biggest health disasters in history. She leaned on couples’ groups at church as a source to feed her marriage and spirit. As SweetFrog thrives, she depends on her staff to interact with customers, her mother to manage the business and her husband to cook more dinners than ever while she rallies onward.
The Lawrences are balanced by give and take. We’ve all heard that it takes a village to raise a child. Perhaps that means any “child,” be it an actual human, a young family or a budding business.
She added, “It was a rough start, but with the grace of God and the outpouring of love and support from our loyal customers, we survived.”
She is talking about the business, but this probably speaks to any challenge this family faces. They band together, they love and they conquer.
