It’s no surprise that Bohemian Bull has been voted The Best Bar (Inside) and Beer Selection (Restaurant); along with One of the Best Bars (Outside), Burger Place, Catering, Grilled Cheese, Frose, Places to Dine Outdoors and Happy Hours. The key to the restaurant’s success, owner Richard Thomasson said, was hiring top-class chef Charles Seaton, whose impressive resume includes culinary experience at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago in Los Angeles, studying high-end Italian cuisine in New York and learning the Creole style in New Orleans.
Seaton’s menu specialties include starters like nachos and boom boom shrimp; wings and tenders as well as salads and wraps. The boho burgers are ground-in-house and are made with a blend of black angus brisket and chuck, served on a potato roll with a choice of side. Additional options include sandwiches such as the classic Reuben or fried chicken and entrees like blackened salmon, fish and chips, a burrito bowl, the shrimp platter and steak frites. Additionally, with 28 rotating beers, a huge bourbon selection, live music two-three times a week and fantastic bartenders, it’s no wonder Bohemian Bull continues to rank high.
“These awards are due to our amazing customers, some of whom have become my closest friends, and the best staff of young people from high school to college to graduates,” Thomasson said. He added, “Our motto is do good, eat good, stay wild. So we also use the restaurant to raise money for charities such as East Cooper Meals on Wheels and MUSC Children’s Oncology Unit.”
