How did your business get started?
We felt the pool service industry was a perfect fit to start a family-run business in the Lowcountry. It was important to us to provide a “professional quality” service. We have been an ASP Franchisee since 2014 because of their training capabilities and time-tested operational efficiencies. ASP’s focus on best practices provides us with the tools we need to deliver quality that is a “cut above” other providers in the area.
What is your most popular product/ service?
Many popular equipment upgrades — we are certified by all the major manufacturers. With the shortage in chlorine that our nation is experiencing, we find that conversions to salt water pools are very popular. The other two hot items right now are variable speed pumps (that are much more energy efficient) and installation of pool heaters.
What is the most rewarding part of your business?
Solving the unique “chemistry” puzzle for each backyard pool is the greatest challenge. Believe it or not, each pool is unique in the same way that each customer is different. We need to take into account the frequency, bather load and type of use. In addition, the backyard environment affects chemistry content and evaporation rate. These factors, among others less obvious, can preserve the beauty and extend the useful life span of your family pool.
