The Holiday Festival of Lights is a Lowcountry tradition that spotlights unique, locally crafted light displays. From November 11th through December 31st, an estimated 2 million lights illuminate the James Island County Park. This family friendly event is in its 33rd year and offers a drive-thru light display, as well as a walking display and a Festival Train.
In this video Sarah Reynolds, Public Information Coordinator at the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission discusses the activities and sights to see at the Holiday Festival of Lights, as well as the different things you can do at the different parks, talks about the rebuilding of the Folly Beach Pier, and how you can save money and visiting the parks with the annual Gold Pass and the perks that come along with it.
