LoLA: Comfortably Creole

Posted by MPM Leave a Comment

Tucked in the heart of the Charleston area, LoLA brings the bold, soulful flavors of Louisiana to the coast. Short for Lowcountry Louisiana Seafood Kitchen, LoLA offers a menu with both spice and comfort in a laid-back, personable atmosphere. They pride themselves on their passion for both the food and their guests, ensuring that not only are guests served authentic Cajun and Creole cooking, but with a dedicated group of people ready to welcome them through their doors.

Their food is guaranteed to be authentic, with generous portions that contain the very heart of Louisiana itself. Each member of their team is dedicated to that essence. The desire to carry on that hospitality is felt in the way staff are eager to learn and remember regulars’ names, or how happy they are to greet each new table as a member of their ever-growing family. From the front of the house to the back where the food is crafted with creativity and passion, they’ve built a family dedicated to each member of the team and every guest who walks in.

Now LoLA is looking to return to catering. After a hiatus following the COVID-19 pandemic, they’re now offering everything from simple drop-offs and pick-ups to catering packages including a bar and staff. They hope this allows people to bring the full LoLA experience wherever they want to celebrate. In turn, the Lowcountry community has responded with overwhelming support, already booking weddings, store openings, private parties and more, proving LoLA’s ability to build a family both within and outside their walls. Alongside their catering, they’re happy to bring with them a new oyster shucking service that can be added with catering or ordered by itself.

As LoLA continues to expand, they want to keep their core tenets in mind. They hope to bring these aspects to more communities and furthermore, continue to strengthen what they’ve already built. LoLA will forever remain a place with great food, comforting hospitality and a sense of community, with a staff who truly love what they do. With every expansion, they will continue to deepen their roots and stay true to who they are rather than sacrifice what makes them so special.

LoLA wants to be more than just a restaurant, instead focusing on becoming an experience where everyone can feel like part of the community. Their passion shows through the details. Whether it be the laughter between tables, a smile at the door or the comfort of their food, the family at LoLA live up to their slogan: ‘We love what we do, and it really is that simple.’ The team gives it their all to show love to the restaurant they call home and the community they welcome inside with open arms and treat to some of the best Cajun food around.
