One of the biggest draws of Mount Pleasant and our neighboring barrier islands is access to the waterways, harbor and offshore. If you want to experience a day on the water without the hassle of owning your own boat or the commitment of a boat club, consider doing a half-day or full-day boat rental. Whether you like the versatility of a center or dual console, the ease of a skiff, the relaxation of a pontoon or the adventure of a kayak or paddleboard, there are countless ways to explore our waterways.

FISHING CHARTERS

There’s a reason people call it ‘fishing’ and not ‘catching.’ If you’d rather be catching, put your trust in the professionals. Many of these charter captains have spent their lives plying Lowcountry waters. They know the fish better than the fish know themselves – the secret spots, the best bait and rig for certain species and what is biting and when. These excursions offer great experiences for small groups, families and more. WATER TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

It’s a lot more fun to take in the gorgeous views of Charleston Harbor and the Wando River on a relaxing boat ride than it is to sit in traffic or vie for a parking spot downtown. Up the ante on your next outing by taking a water taxi. Take advantage of the drop-off and pick-up points in downtown Charleston, at Patriots Point or on Daniel Island.
